Slice "Under the Sea" workshop part 2

I have made 2 more cards and wanted to post them. I have more to make, but haven't finished them yet.
The first card is a thank you card. I used bubble paper for the background and used my embossing folder with bubbles.  The life preserver is cut from the Slice machine out of red paper and then blue paper put behind the slits. I cut off the paper rope, so I could add real rope. I put the preserver through an embossing folder to give it some texture. I made 3 cuts with the Spellbinder, one of red, one of blue, and one of white. I cut the blue down so the red would show behind the blue. I put the white through an embossing folder. I inked the edges of the blue and the white with blue ink. I used a brad to hook the 3 die cuts together and popped the life preserver up. The thanks in the middle is just stamped and then I used an oval punch, inked the edge, and attached 2 brads.  The inside, under the preserver sentiment, was typed on my computer and then punched. I then inked the edges of the paper red.  I used a ribbon that I had in my stash. It has metal rivets on it.  I cut a piece of red and blue for the inside of the card. I roughed up the edges of both pieces.

I have added this card in Patches of Pink's Red, White, and Blue Design Team Day and Link-Up Party

The next card is my favorite so far.  Who wouldn't want to find a chest of jewels on a beach?  The palm tree was cut with a Sizzix die.  I used mulberry paper for the trunk and the coconut and brushed it to make it fuzzy.  The background of the card was embossed with an embossing folder. The paper for the sand was also embossed with an embossing folder.  The chest was cut with the Slice machine. The gold was done with the shadow, then I used some plank wood grain paper to cut the chest out.  I added all sorts of jewels for bling and even found a pink starfish in my stash.  I couldn't quite figure out what sentiment to put in the inside yet. I thought of quite a few, although I didn't have the stamps, I would just need to print them out.  However, it would depend on who I was going to give the card to in order to make the decision. So, I'll wait for now.
