I have been working on my room change for over a month now. I am almost done. I have one more tote of stuff to put away. A lot of just small junk that I kept putting aside, so now I have to put it away. Plus, I need my hubby's help in putting up my small item organizers on the wall (the type that has little drawers that you see in most garages). i have to fill my ribbon rack and one last cabinet I just bought from Ikea needs to be put together, which I will use for my cling stamps and the top will hold my slice machine. I am getting excited to be finished, so that I can make a video.
So, I decided I needed something for my copic marker storage and came up with making something "green." I had a wine bottle holder that I thought was cute (my mom gave it to me), but we already have one in our kitchen. I also had all these creamer containers waiting to become snowmen. Uh well, I have had them for over 5 years. LOL So I decided they could be cut and used as the holders. I covered them with paper, put seam binding tape over the edge, since the plastic was sharp after I cut it, and then glued on some fringe I had in my sewing room. One side holds all of my copics and then the other side is filled with other types of pens. I can easily pick it up by the handle and put it on my work table when I want to use them. I am happy how it turned out. I didn't have to buy anything for the project, which makes it that much better.
I have entered this project at Tip Junkie Tip Me Tuesday contest for 7/5.
I have entered this project on the inspiration Board on Carolyn's Homework Blog.
Super cute storage idea! I love that you repurposed the wine holder and cups for it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I saved these containers and had a snowman party for my daughter 2 winters ago. The girls made snowmen from the coffeemate containers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very creative and pretty idea too! (I'm jealous of all your markers.)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I love clever organization. I would love for you to share this project on my Inspiration Board.
