13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop Day 2

DAY 2
Welcome to the 13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from Oct. 19 at 8:00 am through Oct.31 at 11:00 pm (central time).  It's that time of year when the nights are all spooky and creatures are known to wander the forests.  So sit for a spell with a nice cup of hot apple cider and check out all the great projects.

If you just happened upon this hop, then welcome, but make sure to go back to the beginning and start at Lisa's blog.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 13 day hop with only 13 blogs to visit so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup 13 times.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back all 13 days to see great projects.

Here is the complete lineup:

My project for today is a Halloween card that I made for my BFF. It is a small 4 1/4 x5 1/2 card. The branch stamp is an Impress stamp. The Happy Halloween came out of the $ bin at Micheal's. I stamped both with black ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. The owl and witches hat are foam, from a couple of packs of Halloween packs that I had in my stash. I just loved the owl. It came as orange with the bandit look on it from the black ink. I cut the eyes from a page of Cloud 9 Design paper that was just these eyes, the perfect size. Then I added bright green stickles around the edge and black stickles in the eye.  The web is a foam sticker that I bought. I put a piece of black and white twine on for the spider's silk. The spider is a brad with diamond bling in the center. I used K&Company Smash black and white dot tape along the top.

I decided I needed to do the inside too. So I used a Lacey Oval  Spellbinder's Nestabilitie Set #S4-314 for the black oval, which is the 2nd one. Then I used the next smaller one, which is the 3rd one, with the same green card stock as the card, to make the top oval. The sentiment is a Northwood Rubber Stamp, which I just bought yesterday on clearance for 1/2 off at Ben Franklin. I love that store!

Your next stop is AMY  Have a great day and please stop back tomorrow for another great project.

Happy Witches Halloween 3 Day Blog Hop Day 3

 DAY 3 of 3
If you just came from Zentita's blog, then you are right where you are right where you are supposed to be. If you have happened upon my site, then great, but I am the last one on this hop and you have missed so much, so please start at the beginning on Angela's blog and make your way back to me.   So, time to start thinking about Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays, because it is in my favorite season - Fall. I love the warm colors and all of the small kids who come trick or treating with their special cute costumes on.  Some of them are too scared to come to the front door because my husband does a good job of decorating the outside and making it a bit too scary for the little ones. I miss not being able to eat candy anymore, but then I guess that's good, since it doesn't add weight to me either.
This is a 3 day hop and we had a choice of putting up one project for all 3 days or 1 for each day. I have chosen to post 1 project for each day, so make sure to see my other two projects below, if you missed the other two days

For my third day I am posting another Halloween card that I made today.  I bought some Halloween foam stickers for my grandson and thought he would have fun making something. However, when I made the rosettes the other day, I thought, hmm I should make a card with one in the center. So when I put it there, I needed to decorate the inside. The spider web was perfect. I punched a scalloped edge of purple glitter paper and a circle of orange to go behind it pulling out the colors in the rosette. The foam stickers came with three different colored spiders, orange, green, and magenta. Well I chose the orange one, although I had first put a black with bling spider in the center, but it didn't show up at all. So I settled on the orange spider. The webs in the corner came like that, corner webs, so I used one for each corner. I will put the sentiment on the inside. Pretty simple, but I thought it was something that my grandson could repeat, with me making the rosette of course.

I am the last on the hop, but remember to start at the beginning again on Angela's blog for some new projects tomorrow. Hope you found some sweet treats along the way!
Don't miss it, since there are some very talented ladies in the lineup of the hop:
