CallyAnn's Mini Valentine Album Swap Feb. 14th

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your loved ones. Thank you so much for joining us today in this Valentine Mini Album Hop/Swap! You are gonna love all the beautiful mini albums that have been created! We all made a mini and then sent it to another person in the hop!

Please sit back and enjoy!

If you came from Beckie’s blog, you are in the right place.  If you came here on your own, then I am happy to have you, but make sure that you don’t miss a thing. CallyAnn is your first stop, so make sure to start there to see all the mini albums.

Oh I almost forgot! CallyAnn has Blog Candy! All you have to do is comment on all the blogs.  She has a Stampin Up! Stamp Set and 4 yards of Twine.

Now onto my project. I made an envelope mini that is bound. I love this type of mini. I used 6x9 envelopes and cut them at 7" long at the open end. The binding is shown in the last picture. The front and back is one envelope each, but the middle pages are back to back envelopes then covered with a 6x12 piece of paper. It folds at the end of the envelope at 7",so it leaves a flap that is folded in. I then put another decorative piece of paper on, since I was using thin one sided paper for this part. This leaves an opening, as you can see below with the red scalloped edged paper with the tabs. I didn't use anything more than card stock, so that pictures can be added to these sheets on both sides and then slipped back in.  On some pages I added tags for journaling, putting them on brads that swivel, so a picture can be added below it.  The trims are K&Company. I made tags for each page out of paint chip samples that I picked up in every color of red, pink and purple at the hardware store, then added decorative paper, punched the corners and added a piece of ribbon and brad. These can be used as journal tags and spots for pictures. This mini offers so much space for pictures, in a compact album.

I did the binding by watching a you-tube video. Very simple, by using a stiff cards stock or a manilla folder. It is very easy to make, but it is much easier watching a video on it to understand how the pieces are glued together. When I have more time I am going to do a tutorial video.  I just didn't have time to do it on here.

I apologize for all of the pictures, but I wanted to make sure you got to see all of the pages.  There are 5 pages in the middle back to back, then the front and back, making 12 tabs for inside pullouts.  I also made 3 little minis that close with ribbon. I took a picce of 3x12 and folded it in 1/2 then in 1/2 again to make the mini, glued it on top of the ribbon and added a Valentine bling. I loved making this mini and can't wait to make others.

Next head over to my kind friend Colleen, who will be receiving my mini.
