Whimsical Christmas and New Year's Blog Hop Dec. 28th and 29th

Welcome to the Whimsical Christmas and New Year’s Blog Hop!  You should have come from Jessica’s blog.  If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Jessica’s blog. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy this blog hop that will include projects that are not the traditional holiday colors, but instead the beautiful colors that are another option. There were so many items that were such an inspiration for this hop at the stores this year.

I used an Invoke Arts stamp for the sentiment on the front of this card. I stamped and embossed it in gold. I then placed it on top of the purple sparkle paper, which is Braun + Company glitter gift wrap, from Paper Source, which was punched out using an EK punch.  It is beautiful paper that I bought on a roll. It came in various colors and I had to get them all. LOL.  The bird is from a Jolee’s sticker pack, which was given to me by my BFF for Christmas and placed it on the same purple glitter paper. The fireworks and curly bling are both Jolee’s as well. The ribbon is Celebrations from Michael's. It is all mounted on a piece of teal card stock.

The inside had to be done too. I used piece of the same paper and the same ribbon to tie it together.  I added a piece of bright green card stock, and then added the same ribbon as on the front.  The Happy New Year sentiment was stamped and embossed in gold. It is a Putting on the Ritz stamp. I cut around the image and then backed it with the purple glitter paper. I added a rivet and bling, and then some twine and yarn.  The 2012 is a Jolee’s sticker, which I put on top of an oval punched out of the purple glitter paper, with an EK oval punch, then put it on top of a piece of the teal glitter paper, which was punched using the EK scallop oval punch. Then the two ovals were added on top of a purple oval, punched using my new EK large oval punch.

Your next stop on the hop is Barbara’s blog.

I am offering blog candy of a set of Inkadinkado 15 circle and dots clear stamps, but you must participate with a comment for both days of the hop.

Since this was a Seattle card and it is the emerald city, I should have used green, but I didn't have the same choices of papers in green, so I chose to use pink. I love the way this card turned out. It is beautiful in person.

I used two Impress Rubber stamps for this card. I stamped and embossed the Seattle skyline image, then for the colors I used various Copics and completed it with stickles. The corners were punched with an EK success corner punch.  I then placed it on top of the pink sparkle paper, which is Braun + Company glitter gift wrap, from Paper Source.  It is beautiful paper that I bought on a roll. It came in various colors and I had to get them all. LOL.  The sentiment stamp was stamped in pink and embossed. I distressed the edge with pink ink and placed it on the same pink glitter paper. The background paper is from a Recollection’s Christmas pack.  I used my distress tool for the edges. My BFF loved this tool, so I bought her one for Christmas. She was ecstatic about the gift. It is so fun to use, but a bit noisy. The ribbon is Celebrations from Michaels. It is all mounted on a piece of pink card stock.

The inside had to be done too. I used piece of the same paper for the top part of the card.  I added a piece of bright green card stock, and then added the same ribbon as on the front.  I punched snowflakes out of the same Recollections paper pack, with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, but only used the center of the snowflake. I used an EK punch out of the pink glitter paper. The Happy Holiday and Ho Ho Ho are both K & Company.

Your next stop on the hop is Barbara’s blog.

I am offering blog candy of a set of Inkadinkado 15 circle and dots clear stamps, but you must participate with a comment for both days of the hop.  Don’t forget to come back again tomorrow for the New Year’s project.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 12

Welcome to the Twelve Days of Christmas Blog Hop!  You should have come from Inga's blog.  If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Lisa’s blog.  This is 12 days of Christmas, with each day offering a different project on each blog. Each crafter is sharing something new each day of the hop that has to do with Christmas.  Hopefully, you’ll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season.  You don’t want to miss a day so, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!  Today is sad though, because it is the last day of this wonderful hop. So, I am giving you a little bit more than one project to enjoy today.

Here are my projects for DAY 12:

First, this is a picture of my two best friends (my BFF's), who I stamp with. We just got together last Sunday to do Gina's Snoopy Workshop. She loves Snoopy and designed some very cute cards. I only posted the Christmas ones that we made.
My BFF's - Laura, Gina, Me with our favorite Snoopy card that we made
This card is the one that I received from Gina. She did watercolor on this card. I don't know what stamp she used, but is so cute.
This was the card that I received from Laura. Lots of sparkle. The fringe ribbon is Martha Stewart. She said she bought every color. That sounds like me. LOL
This is a House Mouse stamp. Gina used it to make  a tag for my gift. Isn't it adorable? There is a great website for these stamps - RKstamps. Make sure to check it out. Click Here to go there. They have more than these stamps.
This is the card that I made for Gina, but when I took the picture, I didn't realize that I hadn't colored the scarf. I gave the card to her and she said what were you doing being lazy? You didn't color the scarf. I hadn't even realized it, I was too tired I guess when I made it. So I grabbed some Copics and finished it. I forgot to take a new picture. The stamp is a Rubber Cafe. I added a Martha Stewart bow and chunky glitter. The snowman is a Reflections. The aqua glitter paper is Braun + Company glitter gift wrap, from Paper Source. Although it would be very expensive to wrap a big gift. You can buy it by the sheet, but I decided that it was more cost effective if I bought it by the roll. Plus I decided I needed every color. So I walked out of the store with gold, silver, brown, red, white, pink, purple, and aqua. I won't run out for while. LOL
This card is one of the Snoopy cards that Gina designed for her workshop. The paper is so cute. The red glitter paper is the Braun + Company glitter paper.
I thought this card that Gina designed  was very cute and simple. Snoopy is cut out. The trees are made with an A-muse Studio's die.
Another Snoopy card. This one is really cute. It was stamped on the Amuse Studios paper, then stamped again, colored and cut out. The trim is Martha Stewart. The glitter snow  is the Braun + Company glitter wrap.
This card is cut in the shape of the tree for the front and then decorated. Below, you can see that when you open it, there is the sentiment. Gina thought that it wasn't a good paper choice, because then where would you write, I told her on the back. It is beautiful paper and I wouldn't change it for plain for that reason.
The front folds down
I made this my Christmas card to send out. Although they haven't been mailed yet. OOPS. Well, I did have surgery so that is one of my excuses and I'm sticking to it LOL They should go out today. This is a Penny Black tree stamp, that is stamped and embossed in gold. I added glitter for some leaves, glitter snow, a Ho Ho Ho stamp, and some red with gold rickrack.  I stamped the inside too with Merry Christmas.
Laura and I were Christmas shopping the other day and we found these at Crate & Barrel.  None of us knit, but my MIL and sister both do. I am going to send a request for a set to be made of these. I could go buy them, maybe after Christmas, but would love home made ones instead.
OK, last but not least. Laura put this in my cart when we were at JoAnn's the other day.  It is a metal sign. I am going to hang it in my craft room. I bought a sewing one too for my sewing room. Thank you all for coming every day and giving me lovely remarks on my projects. It means a lot to me.
